Recently, The Phantom of the Opera hit a major theatrical milestone. Not only is it the longest running show in Broadway history, but they just reached an amazing 9000 performances. Broadwayspace.com contacted me to shoot the event.

To make that performance extra special, unannounced to the audience, the producers had the legendary composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber, director/producer Harold Prince, and original choreographer Gillian Lynne.

They rushed some photographers and myself up to the stage right as the show ended. That’s when the cast gave their bows and the Phantom had the “9000” cake brought out.
