Meet the soon to be Kestechers
Jason and Alisa met when they were both working as counselors at a camp in Ringwood, New Jersey. They had separate groups of junior boys, but the whole group of counselors would always get together after camp. They first spoke at a counselor dinner held at The Office, a local bar in Ridgewood. After that, Jason went out of his way to talk to Alisa as often as he could at camp. For their first date, Jason took Alisa for ice cream at the historic Applegate Farm in Montclair. Any romance that starts with beers and ice cream is bound to be one for the ages.
The Proposal
Jason and Alisa were on an epic two week vacation traveling to San Francisco, Napa, Yosemite, Los Angeles, and San Diego. They were on a hike to the top of Glacier Point at Yosemite National Park when Jason paused and asked a tourist to take their photo. He got down on one knee and popped the question at 7,214 feet above sea level. I think you know Alisa’s answer…
