Meet Jaxon! Jaxon was born on August 29th, 2016 and I got the opportunity to photograph him two weeks later. You can check out the maternity session I shot with his parents here.
Jaxon’s parents are huge baseball fans, New York Mets in particular. Let’s go Mets! Mets pitcher Jacob DeGrom named his son Jaxon, and that’s one of the reasons they chose his name.
I often start newborn sessions with some posed shots, usually with the baby sleeping or lying down. Soon baby Jaxon decided he’d rather be in his parents arms, so we moved onto some lifestyle shots, which as a photographer I prefer. The goal is to capture you and your new family doing what you do everyday, whether that’s reading to your child, feeding them, or just snuggling up on the couch.
And that’s exactly what we did with baby Jaxon.
